      My 99' Mazda Protege LX was giving me a P0171 code for running lean and I found my old intake hose had a major crack in it. I found this online and it said it would fit, and boy does it ever, snug as a bug. It fit my car perfectly and made the code go away. The product arrived exactly on time and is of perfect condition and great quality. I will definitely remember Dorman when buying parts.

      I had cracks in my original intake hose and bought this one for the price. It fit perfectly in my car and was hassle free.

      I checked before I bought it and the seller said it fits my car. Everything fits ok except the little one which did not fit. I had to push hard to get it in to the existing hose, even then I could not push it all the way. The diameter of the hose became bigger and I could not slid the clamp. As a result I had to change the original clamp. I noticed that piece can be detached from the main body. I did check in the box, expecting to find smaller size as alternative, unfortunately there was nothing else in the box.

      And the price was right.I seriously plan to keep my old Mazda minivan running until it hits 300,000 miles.Shame on me for neglecting to promptly replace the old, brittle OEM Air Intake Hose, when it really needed to be changed.This high quality vulcanized rubber replacement fits perfectly, is soft and supple, will last for the remaining 65,000 miles on the minivan.

      I used this for a 2001 Mazda Protege, 1.6L. This was a perfect fit and installed within five minutes. If I run into issues with the air hose again, I will buy this again. A great product.

      Here is what the description read when I purchased it;Product DescriptionReturn your air intake system to proper functioning with Dorman's Air Intake Hose. Constructed of high-quality rubber, the hose resists the drying and cracking that commonly cause check engine lights and drivability issues.It is NOT constructed of high-quality rubber !!!It is very hard poly or some kind of plastic.It does NOT bend easily when installing or removing.My original one had cracks that I had sealed up with RTV which worked as a temporary fix. This new one from Dorman works but, its misleading to state that its high-quality rubber when its plastic !!!

      I have been having lean issues with the car and the first thing i wanted to try to replace is the Air intake Hose. Found this one at a great price at AutoPartsWAY, fast shipping and it fits perfectly. The packaging was adequate and installation is a breeze.

      The header says it all. I'd buy this again if I need it. Fit, form and function were exactly the same as the OEM it replaced.

      The oil-change place kindly ripped the original while checking the air filter, and after chasing down the cause of the check-engine light (mass flow sensor, front O2 sensor, much head scratching), finally finding the tear, this one was a perfect fit. Rubber is very flexible, exact match on the 3.2 liter engine, and MUCH less expensive than the auto repair stores! Five minutes, start to finish.

      great intake tube. better than oem. this one will last and keep the air inside on the tube where it needs to be.

      well - it's much cheaper than anywhere else. + didn't want to pay for installation.So - it took me 1/2 hour to install this hose on my old 99 CamryAnd it works just as it should!
