    This part had the exact dimensions. Well packed, but it's not protected against rust on the welding areas, which are rusting to fast. Galvanised High Heat paint should be used to avoid fast rusting. Good value overall. Syvlie Ouellet, Québec, Canada

    Part was an exact replacement for the one on the car. Only took 45 minutes to install (due to bolts on the old one coming off easily-got lucky there).

    Hello... I bought the Bosal muffler for my 1980 SL and had an exhaust shop install it. The technician said it was a very nice fit, slid right into place with no fiddling required. The only down side was the hanger brackets to accept the rubber hangers are so sharp on the edges that they cut through the rubber after just two days. I returned to the shop and they cut those brackets off the muffler and installed a "metal" support instead. Otherwise, the muffler sounds nice and as stated earlier was easy to install according to the shop mechanic.

    Flanges should come with gaskets A gasket is always needed to mate flanges so a gasket should be attached

    Blown away by how fast shipping was, got here the next day. Was exactly what I expected and fit perfectly on my 93 Golf. Only thing to complain about was the lack of protective material for packing.

    The Muffler that I got was not like the picture. It did not have the heat shield or the support for the inlet flange. It did fit and seems to be just fine.
