1995 Porsche 968 Engine Crankshaft Position Sensor Bosch

This was used a fix a VW 2.0L that started randomly stalling, and refused to restart until the engine cools. It's a common failure for this engine, and is a dangerous failure that shuts off the engine while driving. The part is a perfect replacement for the crank shaft position sensor, the original sensor that came with the car is also Bosch. It's a pain to replace the sensor due to tight spacing, but there's no trick other than reaching it. Car works perfectly after replacing the sensor.

Does you car rattle, but the engine mounts and the throttle body are good?Do you have bad mpg, but have no CEL?Has your car ever stuttered beyond 2000rpm and then suddenly stopped doing it?Was your car ever unable to start when the engine was warm, but started fine after a while?Any of these symptoms may mean that you need a new CPS sensor. CPS sensors often fail somewhere in the 100k mile range. If you are suspicious, just change it. It will save you from trouble on a road trip! I have also seen 1-2mpg enhancement on my SAABs after changing the sensor. The sensor is not expensive, so just change it before your car stops at the most inconvenient place!
