2004 Mercedes-Benz SLK32 AMG Ignition Lock Cylinder Febi

It sells for $17.50 at Pelican Parts out of L.A. Just bought a unit for my Mercedes 190D that started to go South. NOTE: To replace this tumbler you need a special tool ..... looks like a giant pair of tweezers. With it, the whole operation of removal and installation of the new tumbler takes all of 5 minutes.CAUTION: Dealers and not so experienced Mercedes shops will tell you it will cost $500 .... they'll claim you have to remove the steering wheel .... replace the ignition ... yada, yada. If they start that "upselling" routine, don't swallow the bait. Again, the whole process of removing the failing tumblers and putting in the aftermarket new tumbler takes all of 5 MINUTES .... with the right tool. You can shop independent Mercedes shops by phone and ask one simple question ... "Do you have a special tool that removes the ignition tumblers?" And ... "How long would it take you to remove the old one and install a new tumbler?" Then you know .....

Great product for and aftermarket ignition lock cylinder. The Mercedes part cost so much so I'm very pleased that this product was available.

This lock cylinder is exactly fit and works fine into my '88 Mercedes Benz 190, even though this product made in China.
