This is an obvious fix if your'e a shade tree mechanic on your own vehicle and it's mostly good.I'll make note of the good and bad in the context of removing the old one and putting in the new one. When removing the old regulator you're going to have tricky go pending where the window stopped when the regulator broke. In my case the window fell all the way down and was wedged at the bottom of the door and regulator.Go slow...when you run into resistance...figure out what it is. Plan on 30-60 minutes to get the old regulator out.One of the last steps of getting the old one out is securing the window in the up position...I used about 25 pieces of duct tape set off from the window trim with shop rags.Once you've got the old one out...look at your new one.Yeah...you've gotta move your speaker...that's riveted in...and there are a few cable standoffs that need to be moved.I just took a punch and beat the rivets out with a rubber...

Worked on my 2003 Mazda MPV, but we had to use the old motor. Would have paid a little more to swap the motor at the same time. The last regulator I bought on AutoPartsWAY had the motor included. The install is a pain. My experienced installed got cut up during the install.. Dropped a star due to no motor.

I recently purchased this window regulator for my 2006 Chevy Colorado. The install was very easy and only took about 25 minutes. A word of advice. Once the old regulator is removed from the glass, I threw a zip tie around the track To keep the window fully closed and in place while the part is swapped out. This will save you loads of time by not having to remove and reinstall the window in the tracks.

Dorman products always work. Hyundai engineers graduated from the Rube Goldberg School of engineering. Even with that said, they must have missed the most important engineering course: KISS 101 (Keep It Simple Stupid). I have replaced the regulators in both front doors in less than a year. Car is 7 years old. Have a giggle, Google how to change a regulator in a Hyundai Sonata.

      29 Jan, 2015
Perfect fit for my 2003 hyundai sonata. It was fairly easy to install, took about 2 hours in all. The hyundai is a little strange in that to remove the two bolts that hold onto the window you have to lower the window, once I did that I then raised it back up and was able to remove the old one all the way. I destroyed the water seal paper stuff in the process-- hopefully that wasn't super important. It would be really hard to replace keeping that intact. My old cables were really messed up as well since I had tried to raise and lower the window when it was messed up, I ended up cutting them to remove the old one easier.

Only reason I am rating this less than the passenger side is that AutoPartsWAY did not send me a Dorman design regulator just like the pasenger side despite the fact that is what I ordered. I received instead what appeared to be an after market clone of the OEM design (plastic pulleys on each end, no shethed cables) which seems to be inferior to the Dorman. This was also a bad fit for the window clip, like other have posted I had to cut small notches in the rubber that the window edge fits on in the plastic clip to get the hole in the woindow to line up with the plastic nipple. Make sure what you get sent is the Dorman with the sheathed cables (like a bicycle brake line).

It fits and works perfectly. It even has the Hyundai logo stamped into it.The one caution is the edges around the access ports to the window bolts are razor sharp. I ended up putting tape over them. The window glass merely slides into the rubber lined clamps so leave the bolts alone. Drop down window, make sure it's level and tighten the two bolts. When you insert the new regulator panel, insert the outer edge where the black fingers are first, then slide in, align bolt holes, and re-assemble.Re: the car, I couldn't figure out how to unplug the power door actuator so I (oops) cut thru the metal to free the wire loom on both the old and new one. Also the car, the door speaker was pop riveted in. I have a pop riveter but if you don't have a riveter, you can use thin screws and nuts.

What a life saver. Have a 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS-4 cylinder and my rear window dropped into the door.Product fits like a glove and was easy for my mechanic to install. Wish I could have replaced it myself butyou have to grind off the rivets that hold the vertical elevator off on the door side in order to get the windowglass to separate from the white elevator on the other side (yah, not fun). Product comes with zip tie typerivets for the speaker as you have to drill out the rivets around the speaker in order to remove (yah, not fun again).Nevertheless this product was so much more cheaper, available next day and fits. God I love AutoPartsWAY. They are stocking moreand more automobile parts everyday that beat my local dealers all day long. I also bought the window motor as it does notcome with this assembly (cheap at ~$60-guess where I bought it at-YUUUUpp AutoPartsWAY!)

Look up the installation video on YouTube. It was really pretty easy to do - took about an hour, and no special tools - Phillips, flat head, socket wrench. Oh, and a drill, as the factory speaker is riveted in, so just drill the top of the rivets off and get 4 #4 screws, nuts, and washers and attach the speaker to the new panel. You will also need to cut off the existing wire hold downs. I attached the one on the inside of the door first, and threaded the harness all through the panel, and then mounted it, and positioned the harness at each point and every hold lined up as it should. I just cut off the tab with the hold down pin, and ran their new hold down cable ties in the same place. Worked very well. Hopefully I won't be doing another one real soon, but I will buy another Dorman if needed.

Worked great, and the best part was that it was offered through AutoPartsWAY Prime, so I got the item in 2 days. The only drawback complaint I would have is that when removing the door panels, it was discovered that the original regulator was attached to the panel with rivets. Since the original part was already broken, we just broke the piece off the panel, drilled out the rivets to make new holes, and utilized 3 new screws to attach the new part. The Regulator did not come with screws, so purchase is necessary. Overall...good product and satisfied!

Greetings,This part appears to be an exact Hyundai replacement part. It has a Hyundai logo stamped into the metal and a holographic Hyundai sticker. I'm guessing that Dorman and the other replacement company TYC are just buying these from Hyundai in quantity and reselling them for a smaller margin than the usual rip-off mark-ups you get when buying dealer parts. Also, you can get these same parts from a number of other on-line replacement auto parts suppliers. I suggest you go with whoever is cheaper. I purchased from AutoPartsWAY even though I found one or two slightly cheaper places. That said, this part is slightly different than the original as other reviewers have noted. And guessing again, I'd say that it is just a case of Hyundai revising the part for whatever reason. The differences are small. Holes for the wire-tie downs for the cabling harness are round rather than oval, but the regulator came packaged with replacement wire ties that fit the holes. No big...

I originally ordered a similar part that ended up being the wrong one by mistake. The "check fit" feature on AutoPartsWAY at the time told me it would fit, it was wrong. They have since then fixed this inaccuracy.I was able to install this part fairly easily and it works well... so far. It also seems to be well built, which is important to me. I would recommend this part.

Product fit very well on my 2007, but not 100% OEM. The rubber round cover didn't fit the new regulator, but I removed the outer seal ring and used some caulking to seal the cap in. The cable clips supplied also worked great. The only thing you have to do it drill out the original pop rivets on the speaker and bolt or rivet to the new one. The plastic alignment piece on the new one can be removed to make it easier to install. The price can't be beat..

This product works great for the FJ60 series as a solid aftermarker replacement regulator. I lubed the whole thing up too to ensure good movement before installing. This was the same manf as at the local parts store. No one had the regulator without the motor and I received this one as fast or faster than the parts store could deliver at a much better price. My son and I installed it with no trouble. I bought my 1999 Passat a couple of weeks ago and none of the windows worked. Part of the issue was just a blown 15 amp fuse. Three bigger issue was that a previous owner decided the best way to deal with a busted regulator was to bend and Mickey Mouse old regulator parts to hold the window in place. I mean, who really uses the driver door anyway? This regulator shipped fast, with clear installation instructions. It lines up in the door pretty good, but we did have to tap it in in a couple of places at the bottom. Works like new now. Took about an hour to install, but we're slow and lazy.

The item actually looks different than the picture here but more like the OEM part. It fits correctly on '06 325i and so far have had no issues with it. However, time will tell. The regulator fits reasonably well. However, the packaging was horrible and the angle bracket that supports the arm rest tore through the box and was damaged, most likely during all of the rough transport. Thus the 3 stars. I had to drill out the rivets and reattach, causing a trip to Lowes since I didn't have the correct rivets on hand. The access holes to release the window are smaller than the original part so you cannot transfer the grommet caps to the new part. However, I was able to cut the cap portion from the grommet and force it into the holes. A little electrical tape overtop ensured it would stay in place. I think this is important because water WILL get inside, especially if you pressure wash your car. There is a decent video on Youtube showing the replacement process but is tells you to remove the outside door handle and latch which is not really necessary. Just remove the cables from the inside latch instead and slide them through the...

The spindle that holds the crank handle snapped one day while I was rolling up my window. And there was no way to fix it other than replacing the entire regulator. Good thing I found this Dorman one on AutoPartsWAY for a pretty decent price. Changing a regulator is a pain in itself, but this replaced the OEM one perfectly. I am very happy to be able to open and close my window again. I just hope this new one has a stronger spindle ;)

My original window regulator had started slipping/jamming because the pulley was worn. This replacement is as flimsy as the original from the factory (but that lasted 8 years anyway). It does not look exactly like the OEM part, but it costs less and seems to fit equally well. I did not replace the motor and it seems to engage with the original motor. Window goes up and down again. When replacing this, I wish I had looked for the white nylon(?) "clips" that stay with the window glass. Inserting and removing the two screws which thread into this plastic tends to strip them out. If someone finds the link for those, consider attaching a comment with the product link?

Then secure the window in mid-travel before removing the old regulator with duct tap so it will not move during installation and damage the window. Complete process took about 1-hour.

I had this window regulator installed by my regular SAAB service center, so I never saw the OEM part to compare it to. the pulley seemed pretty stiff, so I wondered if it would affect performance. Now that it is installed, that particular window moves slower than the driver's side window, and I wonder if it is putting excess strain on the window motor... I guess only time will tell...

I picked this up to replace the regulator on my back passenger. Install was pretty easy. I used this video as a guideline - [...] .Worked as expected as soon as I had it on. I will say that the only thing I had to do that might not be overly obvious is; There are two small pieces of rubber that the window sits on where it connects to the regulator. I had to take the small piece of rubber and squish it down with a pair of vice grips. The rubber was a little stiff from the factory, so it was tough to get the window all the way clipped in.Other than that, it was super easy and the part fit perfectly.

Easy install, works great. Very inexpensively priced; beats the heck out of going to the Cadillac dealership and getting bent over the parts counter.

2007 Ford Expedition EL - this drivers side regulator works perfectly, everything matched up fine. Easy install and the window now works great. The quality is every bit as good as the original. I'm sure it will not be long and I will by purchasing one for the passenger side door, Ford has a bit of a design issue I believe, but I will definitely purchase the next one through Dorman as well.

Excellent product. Works better the OEM equipment. The drum that the cable spools on for operating the regulator is slightly smaller then original which provides more torque for open and closing. Good for those of us who live in cold climates and experience windows freezing up. High recommend. Here are step by step instructions I found. [...]Took me 2 hours to do and could probably replace one in 45 minutes now that I have done one.Con: It appears there a 2 different sets of mounting holes for the motor(I assume for use with multiple models of vehicle). On the set of mounts not used one grommet(not sure what to call it) interferes with the proper mounting. You will have to shave that one down. (I just hack sawed it off)

The installation went fine, it fits, but not as well as the original. There are two raised bosses on the door lock that did not line up. The threaded inserts that the door handles screw into were really rough, I had to take the door panel off and run a tap though them, the screws were starting to strip out trying to force them in. The biggest issue I have with this regulator is the window does not roll down all the way, it stops about 1 inch from the bottom. The original regulator allowed the door to go all the way down. I give it 3 stars despite these "short comings" since it was about half the price of the OEM.

Second one I had to buy because the first replacement gears sheared apart like the original. Its cheaper than OEM and functions just like it except for ONE EXCEPTIONALLY ANNOYING DETAIL. The plastic coaster wheels are not an exact fit in the channel frame they roll in. So, when you drive down the road or just have the music blasting away, the wheels rattles in the door and it forces you to completely roll up or roll down the window so that it doesn't make that annoying sound. Also, the diameter of the sprocket that holds the manual handle may or may not be a little big, I had to force the handle on to it to make it fit.Additionally, if you are buying this item you should probably invest in some synthetic grease to lube up your window channel rubber. Its the moisture and dirt that gets down the channel that makes it difficult to roll the windows back up. I would have replaced the channel rubber but I can't find a retailer besides the dealership who will probably charge...

The regulator itself would be fine, except for the broken part on the product. One of the 3 plastic clips that holds the the motor mount was broken. The broken piece was not in the box. Was this a returned item then shipped out again?? I did not return the item because I had my car door torn apart, and did not want to put the defective part back on, so I figured a way to make it work.My advice, take a very critical look at these pieces that are shipped from AutoPartsWAY before tearing apart the broken item.

This is the second regulator I have purchased from AutoPartsWAY and it works great. I had the Nissan dealership do the work and they stated there were no differences between their supplied parts and this. The price is great, and combined with a rebuilt motor the savings were over $500.The lifetime warranty that the mfg offers just gives oyu that warm cozy feeling when buying car parts over the internet.

Great window regulator - fixed the issue with my window either not rolling down, getting stuck or making horrible crunching noises/creaks. If you have that problem with your e46 (99-06) BMW, as many will have, this regulator is the perfect replacement. You can find plenty of Do It Yourself (DIY) guides online at sites like e46fanatics.com or others and the job wasn't that difficult, at all.One thing to keep in mind - this regulator may not be perfectly aligned to the height of your door - when fully rolled up, mine came about 1" short of the chrome trim and window stop at the top so water could have potentially leaked in. Before taking everything apart, google 'e46 window adjustment' and you'll find a small hole under the door shell, on the outer portion that takes a very small allen wrench and allows you to raise and lower the window to fit appropriately. Would have saved me from having to take the door panel back off and checking everything again.

Not overly impressed with the product, but it did the job. Obviously not the Same quality as OEM, but for the price savings I would buy this again if needed. Not to difficult to install for your average handyman. Hardest part was getting the door appart to install this.

I needed to replace the window regulator for my 2006 E90 sedan (driver's side rear). I bought this Dorman part from AutoPartsWAY for $55 because I didn't want to pay two to three times that for OEM. The Dorman part I received didn't quite look like the part pictured on AutoPartsWAY, but it did look more like the part I took out of my car with minor differences. Replacing the window regulator was pretty easy, but I did struggle a little to release the window from the regulator's clamp (there's a notch in the window where the clamp hooks into). I followed DIY instructions on the internet to replace the regulator and to reset the window's anti-trap function. These are the tools I used to replace the window regulator:- T20 torx driver- 10mm socket wrench - trim removal tool or any flat, rigid, non-scratching toolSo far, the regulator works fine with no problems.

Even though it didn't come with the bolts I needed to install the regulator and motor, they were easy to pick up at a local hardware store. The installation was simple and self-explanatory. So, far it works as well as I was expecting.

A "window regulator" is the mechanism that moves a power window on a car up and down. I replaced the window regulator for the driver's power window on a 2000 Hyundai Tiburon using this part. The part appears identical to the OEM part and, for those who care, it says it's made in Korea, not China. No installation directions are included with the part. This part does not include the power window motor. You can remove the motor from the old regulator and reuse it on this part.People who buy this part should be aware that the OEM design is fragile. (You can find much material on the web complaining about the failure of Hyundai window regulators.) The window in the car had jammed open because the cable of the window regulator had slipped off a guide pulley was all tangled up around the drive pulley. There are two guide pulleys. The cable is kept against each guide pulley by a pair of plastic tabs that are about 3/32 of an inch inch in all 3 dimensions. One...
