These heavy duty bracket mounting kits are designed for a vehicle specific fit, with no drilling installation in the same way as the OEM's. Constructed of 4mm thick steel, and able to support over 500lbs when installed, they have the same thick e-coat corrosion protection as the OEM's and also include OEM style injection molded plastic bracket covers. These covers improve the appearance of the running boards when mounted on the truck, and protect the brackets from stone chips and unsightly rust. Why have a nice set of running boards, if they are mounted with thin wimpy brackets covered in stone chips and rust.
