Just like any exhaust kit it took some work to get everything together and once it was done I wasn't really happy with the placement of the outlets but the sound is nice and quiet. As far as the fitment goes you really do get what you pay for.

I love the way this exhaust sounds. It's quiet when idling and cruising but really comes alive when you get into it.I was a little hesitant, based on the other reviews and some YouTube clips but installation was super easy with the exception of 2 things.1: The reusing of the stock clamp. Took a little time but it ended up fitting together well. Lots of PB Blast helped out.2: Just like the other reviewers stated, the clamp for the tip needs some attention. The tip slides on nice and snug but the clamp couldn't tighten down enough to be solid. I took the spacers out of the clamp, did a little custom bending and it's pretty snug now. I'll end up replacing it down the road. That being said, it's a great exhaust for the money. I'm happy.

Bought a used 2012 v6 mustang that had a borla atak on it. Most obnoxious exhaust ever. High pitched, Loud. Sounded like a rhaspy Honda Civic. These Dynomax's are the ticket. They are Quiet under 3,000 RPMS, so quiet the gearbox noise is the loudest thing. They open up after that when the motor hits it's powerband. I cruise at 80 on my commute to work with no sound issues. No Droning at any RPM. Easy to install, as long as you unbolt the hangers. I loosened the passenger side and got it in. Had to remove the Driver side to mount it.

Install was pretty easy, instructions are minimal though. One diagram, one page of instructions. Sounds good, the included tips are just straight pipes, no chrome plating, with the ends cut flat. You could angle cut the tips if desired, or replace with another aftermarket tip set.

Good system, Its as quiet as a stock system from Ford, Larger pipes on Muffler outlet which took a little fiddling to make work, had to cut bottom pipe about 1 1/2" so the top pipe would fit and the two lay together as intended. Also Pipe that connects to Catalytic converter is the same exact same size, 2 1/4" pipe on the ID, had to go to parts store and get an extra clamp and adapter to make it slide together. Only got one muffler hanger, though picture show 2. no other hangers are provided, so if your original stock ones are bad, rusted or welded to the old pipes you will have to get new ones from ford or generic ones

The hanger locations are a little off from stock, but for the price, its worth doing a little welding yourself.

Amazing sound, and the tips that come with the kit are much higher quality that I expected for the price point. I would not hesitate to buy this kit again. You can't beat the flow and sound at this price point, and Dynomax bullets are tried and true.

I did quite a bit of research before I bought my exhaust. I saw a clip on project jk and knew this was the exhaust setup I wanted. It has a nice low rumble, quieter then MBRP (buddy runs that one), but still has a good tone when you step on it. Install was easy. I didn't cut any of my factory piping (on 4 door) and still got it to fit perfect

sold my 2011 gt which i had flowmaster american thunder mufflers, this was a great sounding car with a little drone around 2000-2400 rpm, everyone could hear it coming. still had the mustang fever so when i found a 2011 v6 rousch dub edition for sale at a super price i bought it.miss the v8 sound, but , after installing the dynomax vt, it has a sound i can live with ,it will never be as deep as a v8 but i also have come to love that its quieter down the highway, with no drone,i actually cut some one inch high " L" shaped alumunum pieces 9" long to keep the flaps open all the time, the car is louder all the time, but still not real loud at highway speeds, NO DRONE, BUT WHEN YOU GET ON IT, it still has a great and louder sound that it would have with the flaps working, To rate againest the flowmaster, the vt are 1/3 as loud at highway speeds and 1/2 as loud at full throttle, but half as throuty. still not bad for a v6, i would buy again. thanks pappy

Quick and easy install, the hangers are all in the right places. Just trim the pipe to length and you're set to go!! The sound is a nice low growl and mid crisp roar when you let the Hemi burn! I'm very happy with this purchase!

Very good exhaust set. Installed on a 92 civic DX less than an hour. Used the old donut gasket since it was in good shape. The hardest thing is getting the sholder bolt springs compressed to get the nut back on. I forgot to order a new set of the sholder bolts and mine were slightly bent. The muffler is not loud untill you get up in RPM's (6000) Even then not bad. Was a bit dissappointed with the tip size. 3 inches is not big when you had a 5 inch tip. Also could be why I don't think it's loud ;) Good quality, expect to last. My 5 inch lasted 12 years. If you want better performance and quality, then this is for you.

The exhaust is great fit like a glove, really fast shipping as well. I will tell you this, it is super quite at first, but give it about a month or so you get a nice little rumble and good sound after it all breaks in. It's not super loud I should add, but definitely sounds nice!

Nearly complete package and seems to be decent quality. Per another reviewer's comment I picked up a couple of 1-1/2 * 3/8" bolts. Not sure why they include a 6" bolt for the hangers, perhaps some frames are closed, and therefore you're going through the whole channel width. Not the case on my 2000 F150. The existing system was completely welded in. I cut the tube immediately where it fed into the muffler. The muffler slipped perfectly over this and everything else went well. Probably 3-4 hours total project time. Took me a minute to realize that there was a swivel on the hangers. Needed a wrench to swivel them but then they went perfectly. Overall easy project. Used a reciprocating saw to cut the old exhaust tube but other than that just normal hand tools. My original exhaust turned and discharged out the sides behind the rear wheels, where this one goes straight out the back, under the bumper. Probably just a personal preference on aesthetics.

Wow what a great exhaust! After looking at and listening to so many exhaust systems for my 5th Gen Camaro, i am so glad i chose this one! Installation was shockingly easy. No welding. Just some jack stands a wrench and sawzall is all that were needed. The difference in sound is amazing! I took my car to the dealership for my annual Inspection and the mechanic commented on how incredible the car sounds now. Deep rumble but minimal drone at highway speeds. It completely woke up my car! Very happy with this purchase!

I bought these for a 69 mustang convertible, 351 with hooker headers and a 5 speedBox arrived on time but had a rip. Opened it up only to find that the hardware kit wasn't in the box. Called dynomax to get the kit. Took them 2 days to ship it by snail mail so basically it took 5 days to get the stuff. That wasn't impressive.Band clamps are JUNK. You tighten them until they bottom out and the joint will still turn. After my first round with dynomax, I said forget it and bought the good old U clamps. Again, not impressed.Be ready to do some cutting & welding in order to get the pipes to line up with the headers (this wasn't a surprise and the way they make the collector, I works pretty good). Not sure if I should be impressed or feel lucky. They also need to make the cross pipe in the H pipe about 3 inches longer so the assembly will fit up in the drive shaft tunnel. To finish on a positive, they sound awesome. Nice low rumble...

Very happy with this purchase. Installed on 2003 F-150 with 5.4L V8. It's slightly louder than a stock exhaust but not too loud. I want the vehicle to sound like it has power but not be so loud that it annoys the neighbors. Mine came with different/better clamps than what is shown in the AutoPartsWAY photo. The photo shows the cheap U style clamps. In my past experience those clamps do not provide a good seal and I would prefer to weld the exhaust than use those. The good news is the kit actually came with 4-bolt band clamps which spread the force out over a larger area. I installed the kit with those clamps - no welding and it sounds great, no leaks. These newer style clamps seem to be a good alternative to welding. The instructions could be a lot more clear. It didn't say which way the dual-hangar was supposed to go, had to use my own judgement. Also, the instructions just say "2.5" clamps but there were two different styles of clamps and it didn't say which...

It sounds great, is far less restrictive than the factory exhaust system, installs easily, actually FITS the stock mounting position like it says it does, and provides good ground clearance.

Sounds good, install was not as bad as I expected. All the pieces seemed to fit perfectly into place, I would've given it 5 stars if the tip hadn't been such a pain. It was clearly the wrong size, I had to cut the pipe into fins and bend them open just to squeeze it over the tailpipe. It's a super cheesy tip anyway, I may take it right back off.

The VT muffler has a flapper built into the muffler that opens as the rpm of the engine increases allowing the exhaust to flow better. This makes for a muffler that is about stock level quiet at idle and low rpms. Step on the accelerator and the muffler comes to life. I picked these mufflers to replace the Borla Touring that I previously had on the car. After a couple of years the Borla muffler started to making a vibrating sound (sounded like a someone blowing a car horn) under heavy acceleration. This noise drove me crazy and my wife constantly complained about it so after some research I decided to try these. They have only been on a few days but I am very impressed with the sound throughout the rpm ranged and best of all there is no drone!

First off, I had this professionally installed and weldedinstead of using the clamps that came with it.I love this exhaust! It has a great exhaust note, not too loudbut throaty performance sound! Also, my jeep feels like it gained pep and better acceleration overall(combined with a K&N filter). My mileage is also improved, as per scangauge II.Thanks AutoPartsWAY and Dynomax!

this was stated to fit a long bed but all you have to do is cut the one pipe about 14 to 16 inchs, this kit was a great replacement,i made a couple of boo boos but that had nothing to do with the product,i bought this to replace my headers,i hate headers,i had the right and left sbc exhaust manifolds so I installed them and used this kit,it has all the correct hangers and really fits great,i ordred the mufflers and the total cost of everything was about 190 bucks, try getting that done at a muffler shop.and the best part no headers to leak.definitly a great buy.good quality piping,a five star.

We bought this for my 4-dr 2008 jk wrangler. It sounds awesome. Just a slight rumble too it that makes me smile. It is not rice-burner loud nor is it annoying. There's no longer an exhaust pipe hanging out the back so, if you off-road, it's one less thing to worry about crushing.

I replaced the exhaust that came on my 94 YJ 2.5 with this setup. I purchased my 94 at the start of 2013 with no catalytic converter and some cheap parts house muffler. It was ok for a few months, but the drone got old after a while. I just finished installing this setup, and wow what a great cat back setup it is! Even w/o a cat it is still almost stock sound level, and is so quiet on the highway. I can listen to my stereo at normal levels now even with the top off. Would definitely recommend.

Fit my 2005 extended cab Tacoma perfectly(after cutting 13 inches off the straight pipe because it also fits the double cab). I installed this system on my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 5.7hemi. The OEM muffler was shot.I ended up cutting the factory pipes in front and back of the muffler with a grinder and hacksaw. I then used the grinder to split the pipe coming from the cats and peeled it apart with some stout vise grips. It would have _NEVER_ slipped off.Once the factory pipes were removed, I followed the instructions and it all went together nicely. They mentioned that you may have to cut the short pipe behind the muffler to the tail pipe. I did not have to do that, I just pried the parts apart, aligned them and they slipped together. It was tight and lubricating the rubber isolator/hangers with WD40 made it possible to shift the system around and get it together. The chrome tip is too loose on the tail pipe even with the clamp as tight as it will go. I may end up cutting the slots on the chrome tip further and using a different clamp. At idle it's very quiet...

UPDATE/// After about 1000 miles put throught the new exhaust, it has risen my MPG to 20+ in town and about 26 or so on the interstate. Very nice increase in power and presence. A steal if you can get it for the price it is now, won't find better!amazing upgrade. much better and stronger. makes my X roar! install is a breeze, did it myself with a friends help, some parts can be tricky to install and maneuver through and over the axel and surrounding hardware. unless you have a car lift. mine was done on the ground. the noise does not drone the cab at all. once your RPMs settle down it's just like the stock exhaust.heads up: I completely removed the rubber dampeners for an easier install process. also, with my xterra, the flanges on the y-pipe to the catalytic converters DID NOT match up when I mocked the exhaust into place with the bolts, hangars, dampeners only hand tight. it had me worried that it wouldn't fit properly, however after it was all...

this is not going to be one of those upgrades that you lose your mind over, but it is for sure better than stock. i got this particular set because i dont have a lot of money right now and i saw rust forming on my exhaust pipe and figured time for preventive maintenance that i can do. good thing i did because the mounts were so rusted out that they began to fall apart on removal. if your cat is welded to the exhaust through out any ETA on installation as, depending on the quality of the weld, you will be working pretty hard. the more you use it the quieter it gets but it for sure has a deeper tone. at the time of this review i have an all stock engine. all i have after market are front/rear bumpers, wench, and hood louvers (get hyline offroad louvers for the cherokee XJ as it it works great- im 5-20 degrees lower under the hood with an average decrease of 10 degrees).i did notice SOME improvement but nothing comparable to a pinto before and ferrari after. it was pretty...

this kit did not fit my 2001 reg cab tacoma because it has california emissions. my truck wasn't bought in CA so check under your truck before buying this. if you have what look like 2 catalytic converters, you might have CA emissions as well. there was no information on AutoPartsWAY, the manufacturer's website, local retailers, or the packaging to warn of this potential issue or what to look for, yet the support guy immediately knew exactly what was wrong. the company was very good at blaming the consumer, but completely useless at preventing or helping to solve the problem. i won't be buying from them again due to combative customer support. eventually, i used an angle grinder to cut the first pipe short and was able to force it to into place.

I was able to install this exhaust on a standard Tacoma not extended cab. The hardest part was cutting the old rusty bolts. I've found it very difficult to find exhaust for the standard version and Dynomax did a very good job. I did have to supply my own gasket for the cat. converter because the factory one was deteriorated and didn't come in the kit. No problem with that. The stainless exhaust tip looks a lot nicer than my old rusty pipe from the factory exhaust which was 14 years old. Also the packaging was great. The box was super strong with heavy staples and the pipes were all wrapped.

Just installed this on my 2013 Silverado. There is a rebate from Dynomax going on at the time of me writing this. I love the sound, quiet till you accelerate, and then that butterfly opens up. Install went smoothly until the tip. Unlike the other reviewer, my tip fit fine. As I tightened the band clamp that holds the tip, the bolt in the clamp broke. Called customer service, I'll have an entire replacement tip + clamp in 2-3 days. No cost to me, covered under warranty. I'm sure I will find a use for the clampless one. The system has been annoyance free so far. It's a hair louder in the cab than I expected, but it's not so loud that I annoy the neighbors. Overall I love it.

This was an easy install for my 94 S-10 4Dr Blazer. I ran the vehicle up on ramps but figured out I needed to jack up the back wheel a little higher and remove the rear passenger wheel for easier access. Getting the tailpipe hangers through the rubberized connectors was much easier with a few drops of dish soap. The sound is good and a couple of people asked if I had a V-8 under the hood.... No, stock 4.3, V-6. I expect mileage to increase by a mile or 3 per gallon between city and highway driving.

Package arrived fast and in great shape. After opening the package and inspecting all parts I did not see how the very nice looking exhaust tip that was 2 inches with a 2 inch clamp was going to fit over the 3 inch pipe. I checked and verified that I was sent the correct part numbers and all the individual parts were numbered correctly as per the instructions. The installation was fast (less than 30 min with only hand tools) and it sounds great. It's quite until you accelerate hard and has no drone at cruise. But the exhaust tip was not correct and had to acquire one that would fit from a local source at a cost of an additional $30.00. I attempted to call Dynomax customer service about the exhaust tip, but was unable to reach anyone as their office was closed. I would order something different just because I ordered in good faith that I would receive the correct parts and that did not happen.

I had this system installed a couple months ago with ZERO fitment issues at all. Dynomax finally took care of the previous issues. The pipes had a sticker on them stating they were the updated version. The sound is VERY mellow and has a low growl to it at WOT. Very nice and NOT obnoxious like most other V6 open exhaust systems. V6s are extremely difficult to obtain a decent sound out of them IMHO. You'll never get one to sound as good as a V8 does. I would highly suggest this system to anyone looking to upgrade their 3.7 V6s restrictive exhaust. You can not beat $250 SHIPPED after the $75 Rebate! You'll easily pay double that plus for any other system out there and have it sound like crap! Save your $$$ and get this setup.

Walker makes a great quality product and this is no exception. I've installed a few Dynomax systems, but this was the hardiest. It was about 1" to long between two of the stock brackets, making it a tight fit that transfers vibrations into the cab.

Although this seemed like a good deal I discovered this product won't fit trucks with a rear sway bar. Thanks to AutoPartsWAYs excellent returns system I was able to exchange it for one that did.

I ordered this exhaust system from AutoPartsWAY because it was almost $100 cheaper than anywhere else. It was shipped in an excellent box/packaging. For a pre-made set of pipes and muffler it fit pretty darn well. I would definitely order this type of product from here again. If you're concerned about ordering this set or wondering if it really fits, don't be.

I installed this muffler on my 1992 Honda Civic hatchback. It looks nice with the 2" tip and sounds pretty much stock at idle and low to mid RPMs (bit deeper maybe), but higher up it has more of a growl. Installation was easy, and the backpipe comes long so you can trim it to fit perfectly. Make sure you get new hardware because the old bolts will likely be rusted and a pain to get off like mine were. It also worked fine with the old rubber hangers.

This was a cat-back replacement for my 89 Ranger XLT V6 regular cab.A good price and works great, but it does not include the intermediate pipe which goes between the muffler and the catalytic converter. Had to pick that up at a local NAPA, along with gasket and bolts. Everything else that was needed was in the kit.Easy to install, sounds good, manly but not too full-on redneck. Now we'll see how long it lasts.

Pros: Uses mostly band clamps which are nice and sounds decent but definitely not too loud.Cons: Instructions are really unclear regarding the use/need for cutting tube on a quad cab short bed (I left the extra tube out the the system fit without it but I know of one other person that cut the tube down and used it). The chrome tip is a little much but the clamps for the tip are not that good so mine fell off anyway. Also the front hanger on my kit needed to be bent a little whichmay have been a design issue or could have been bent during shipping, I don't know. Kind of a pain to install by yourself in your driveway.

Got it installed on the Jeep wrangler. The tail pipe and the muffler are working well with a good sound. A Little louder than the stock version, but not annoying. Highly recommend as Great Value for the price!

Installed this on my '13 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It took longer to remove the old exhaust then it did to install this one. After installation I thought it was kind of loud, being that the pentastar engine was so quiet, but it seemed to quiet itself down after a week or so. I would toss the tip it comes with and get a turn-down. The turn down seemed to redirect the sound and made this system quieter. The sound is very deep and throaty when you get on it, but hardly noticeable when cruising on the freeway. It is really the best of both!

Agree completely with the other review; sounds wonderful but too many pieces. I might also add that when cutting the piece for the front pipe, cut it long at first and the test fit the exhaust. Mine ended up kind of short to where only a little of it got pushed in to the other pipe and i had to clamp it almost at the edge. I may have it all welded after a while.Other than that, it's almost perfect.

I purchased this exhaust kit for my 93 Bravada. It sounds amazing, exactly what I was looking for, a nice rumble but still fine for a daily driver. Great Price. I had it put on by a shop and it took less than 30 min to remove the old one and install this one. Also when I tach it out it sounds better than my friends '10 GT Mustang with a $600 flowmaster kit!

I purchased these axle backs for my 2012 Mustang GT. They have a much deeper tone than the stock mufflers, but they were too quiet for me. They seem to be louder than stock at 3500+ rpm's, but it was really nothing that made me say"Wow". So I took them off and replaced them with the Borla S-type catback. Now I have to sell the Dynomax!

The exhaust system itself is awesome. It sounds great, went on very quickly and easily, and I would definitely purchase it again. My problem, and the reason this product doesn't get 5 stars, is with the description, and the "Does it fit?" portion of the website. In the product description, this says it fits a quad cab, short bed Ram. This however is not the case. The 19369, which I purchased, comes with a shorter intermediate pipe than the 19370, which is the kit that actually fits my truck. Now, I must admit, this is partly my fault, as I almost always visit the manufacturers website to verify part numbers before ordering anything automotive related. I did not do this in this instance, and it cost me. Not only is the correct exhaust for my truck $20 cheaper here on AutoPartsWAY, but it also cost me an extra $20 to get the right sized intermediate pipe and extra clamps to make this kit work.Again, the product is outstanding, and hopefully the review takes nothing away...

Good replacement-makes my Nitro sound like new and full of power again. I replaced my original that was 5 years old and burnt out at the tailpipe/resonator. Be aware that the connector for the muffler is quite different on this aftermarket from the OEM-the original is a welded clip on the connection before the muffler while this replacement is just a clamp with a double bolt and the connecting pipe has no clip. This was somewhat confusing at first because it appeared that it needed to be loosened whereas it did not come off at all. My process was simple-I cut off the existing muffler and connecting pipe with a reciprocating saw as the OEM clamps were rusted and it was a tight fit-you won't need them anyway. Then with a second pair of hands-which I highly recommend-the unit was assembled from front to back and put into place then tightened down. I spent about 90 minutes on this only because of the rusted OEM parts-otherwise it would have been a 60 minute job.

After having the muffler shop fight for an hour and a half to get this installed, and it's still not aligned right, I talked to Dynomax customer support. There was a "fitment issue", but this corrected and the bad parts were recalled late 2011. Retailers and installers should have sent them back and receive the corrected/improved model. AutoPartsWAY must be selling the old version. Dynomax is now sending me the correct right side muffler, which should fit and align properly. Plus, they are going to reimburse for the extra labor cost. Great product support by Dynomax, which is the only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 1. Shame on AutoPartsWAY for selling old parts. Now I know NOT to buy cart parts here anymore.

Love this exhaust! Deeper tones during normal driving and a cool rasp around 2500-3000 RPM. Install was tough with jack stands due to the length of the pipes and getting the stock exhaust off and the new on over the rear end. Would be a snap with a lift. The price can't be beat! I would suggest this kit to anyone with a new V6 looking to add killer sound and more power.

This went on to my 2002 Jeep Wrangler. The installation process was very straight forward and simple, aside from one problem I had getting the pipe hangar into the rubber holder, but it just took a little elbow grease. The sound is nice, just a little louder and throatier than stock, which is what I wanted.A note if this is your first muffler installation: Be ready for this thing to smoke and smell like chemical fire for the first few miles, it's the rust preventative burning off. Dynomax should really mention this in the paperwork, I was a little nervous when smoke started billowing out of my exhaust pipe and the whole inside of my jeep smelled like struck matches. I did the install yesterday, and the smoke is gone today (50 miles later) but a little smell remains when I get onto the freeway and it really starts to heat up.

For the price it definitely is better than a rusted, hole filled, bad performing stock exhaust. Very easy to install/disassemble old exhaust. I wish I bought the 02 sensor, cat., and front pipe/headers and did it all at once. It still will be easy to do in the future. My old exhaust farted, leaked and did not let my 99 jeep cherokee run to its fullest. Immediately I had a difference with everything. Came with everything you need. Very satisfied and will recommend to others. It is not loud, sounds stock with a little extra tone.

This exhaust sounds great on the 5.4 F-150. It is not too loud and there is minimal droning for an aftermarket cat back. There is a nice powerful sound under accel and a nice mellow V-8 sound at idle. In my opinion this is the perfect sounding exhaust with a "just right" noise level. If you are looking for an exhaust that the whole neighborhood can hear you coming than this is NOT the exhaust for you. If you want your truck to have a throaty V-8 rumble than it IS the exhaust for you. My complaint is the system is not stainless and there are too many pieces to give it a real clean look. I have had it on for about 10 months and after one winter there are no major signs of corrosion. Should get an easy 4-5 years out of this system.

This system was easy to install by myself. The components provided fit perfectly. The only flaw was the extension pipe was missing from this "complete" system. This slowed me down until I found this component. That this part was not included was not revealed until reading the instructions with the system. That said, this system is everything as advertised.

I recently put this on my 2001 Wrangler 60th Anniversary Edt. At first the smell was horrible, but that is whats supposed to happen. After about 4 weeks of driving the sound just gets better and better. I can now be sitting at a light and hear my 4.0L purring. And its not a rice burner sound. Its a deep gargle. It sounds awesome, and I would definitely recommend this product

Long Term Update:I found u-bolts repeatedly loosened up due to vibrations, and the tail pipe would twist and contact the bumper... made lots of noise each time. I welded a short bead along the each of the joints to prevent rotation, and all has remained secure ever since. Bolts still need occasional torquing... If you don't have a welder, consider asking a muffler shop to weld the system together... probably $20-$40. Worth it!--------------------------------Update after 800+ miles:I have a rather regular driving routine, and my MPG has definitely increased between 5%-8%, which equates to an additional 30+ miles per tank, or about $6 each refill. It's significant, but any increase would be since the X is a low MPG car.--------------------------------The quality of the system seems outstanding, and everything fit perfectly (having my spare tire removed probably made things easier). It's a tad louder than I'd hoped (it drones a bit at...

Quality parts at the right price. This cat back will NOT fit the Bronco II like I thought it would. I took a gamble hoping it would since so many Bronco II parts will interchange with the Ford Ranger, but the tail pipe is different.

Bought this muffler to replace my stock system that developed holes (it's a 1992). It was an easy install, using the supplied clamps and was a perfect fit. I have young children and often come home late at night (past 12am) so i didnt want anything loud. It has a very nice tone even at idle, definitely different from stock but not much louder. A great purchase.

This 17342 Dynomax Cat-Back Exhaust System turned out to be better than I had expected. Sounds absolutely awsome(not too loud)and has shown a nice performance increase in every day driving and towing, for a quick bolt on system. It took me twice as long to get the factory exhaust off than to put the new system on. Pre-placed hangers worked great and total length was right on. No extra parts required for this kit.Nice job Dynomax. Thanks to AutoPartsWAY as always... the price was right and shipping was nothing compared to the performance shops.

Thanks to the good folks at Dynomax, this fit my '01 XJ with the flanged cat, since they include an adapter piece to make the system bolt on just like the OEM. Just head to the hardware store and pick up 2 10mm x 1.5 nuts and lockwashers, since that's the only bit of hardware not included. Removing the rusty OEM system was the biggest pain, but nothing that a Sawzall and 15 minutes couldn't take care of. :) I'm a pretty good driveway mechanic, and this was, by far, the easiest cat-back I've had to install. I had the new Dynomax system completely lined up and clamped down in under an hour. The sound is pretty comparable to the original, which is a good thing because I'm not a fan of noise or drone in my daily driver. The stainless exhaust tip is a nice touch as well!

This kit actually fits 1993-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ's, not 93-98 as the description above may say. It's a great basic replacement cat-back kit. It's no Borla, but you're not paying Borla prices either. The only parts that you may need that do not come with the kit are two metric 10mm 1.5 thread pitch bolts - and that is only if you have a 2000-2001 Cherokee. The exhaust sounds great, a little more bass to it, but no drone or rattles. Very easy install, removing the old rusty exhaust is always the hardest part. One other helpful note - if you have to replace any of the exhaust hangers on your Cherokee due to rust (the rear one in particular), they can be hard to find outside of a Jeep dealer. NAPA tends to carry them however.
