OEM Product: This Original Equipment Manufacturer part is the same part that was made & installed by the car manufacturer at the factory where the car was produced.
For the M Class, locking mechanism A164 760 00 08 is no longer used. It has been replaced by rear gate locking mechanism A164 760 01 08 together with fastener A211 740 02 35. Both new parts must be installed together. Please refer to DTB T-B-72.20/43e (or later) for further information regarding Power Closing Assist on the Liftgate Intermittently Nonfunctional , and DTB T-B-72.20/59a (or later) regarding message "liftgate open" in instrument cluster.
