I replaced the driver's side a couple of years ago. Last weekend, the original passenger's side failed. Since I had to travel the next day, I shopped around to see if anyone had one locally. Nobody had one, and they all quoted me a price almost double the price on AutoPartsWAY. I opted to just tape the window for my travel and order from AutoPartsWAY.This one was actually easier to install than the driver's side. I didn't have to attach the power to get the window bolts to line up with the holes on the door. They just lined up. The only problem I had was that there are two bolts on the motor that fit into slotted holes on the door panel. I had to remove one of the bolts to get the motor to fit. It lined up properly after I removed it and adjusted the first bolt into the slot. But both bolts wouldn't line up on the holes and slide over to the slot. Minor, though. The part works great and saves a ton over buying the part at a local auto parts shop. And maybe 1/4 the price of...

Product works perfectly with my 2011 Chevy Cruze. I was able to install this product with ease and no difficulty. I have had it in my vehicle for over a year now and it has not given me any problems. This has saved me tons of money!

Just installed it. Not too difficult of a job (took about an hour, but that was going slow, anyone with experience could do it in about 30 min). Fits perfectly. I may as well have been installing a factory direct replacement. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the fact that I am waiting to see how long it lasts. If it keeps kicking for a good year (and I don't see why it would not), it would definitely get 5 stars.

Arrived in good condition and works well. Installation is a bit of a b**ch but there are plenty of "how to" videos on Youtube to get the job done. Overall a good replacement for the original. If you find yourself needing this item, get the one for the other side as well. If it hasn't given up already, it will SOON.

Power window went bad and needed replacement. Installation was easy. Loses one star because i had to reem out one of the holes to get the screw to fit. otherwise works perfectly. This is the second power window i have had to replace and bought from this company before. Other window still working 18months later.

Item works perfectly as a replacement. There is no discernible difference between this part and the OEM part that came with the vehicle that I can tell. I am very satisfied with this part and would order from this company again, if the occasion required. My one complaint is that this part does not come with the nuts to actually install the part. I had to cannibalize the old car part for nuts to install the new part. This is by no means a deal breaker, but I would have preferred the part come will everything necessary to install.

This installed perfectly. The window carriage was even set to the correct location for access to the window mount bots. The design is slightly different for the OEM Honda/Acura product. The OEM product fails pretty consistently where the upper cable attaches to the window carriage. It generally bends the metal and cracks the plastic. This product uses a plastic cable block that is much thicker than the OEM part but does not have any metal reinforcement where the cable ends attach. We'll see how this product holds up to the test of time.

Perfect fit, excellent product, we have a 2007 Honda Pilot. Knowing how much the dealer up charges, I looked here first. I found and watched the youtube video that shows how to install this product, and it fit perfectly and took about an hour to install. My dad helped me, otherwise I imagine I could have easily done this myself in about an hour 1/2. New motor works great and is quiet. Would buy again and probably will when the other side goes out. Very pleased. Didn't notice the warehouse deals until after I purchased, or could have saved even more. Great deal nonetheless.

This unit fits perfectly in a 2002 Ford Explorer drivers rear door. I bought this one on AutoPartsWAY as an open box item and saved 25%. There are no instructions in the box, but if you are buying this you probably know where to find videos or other forum guides that explain how to install it. The motor is fractionally smaller and slower than stock -but so what- the electric window now functions. Drilling out the rivet on the regulator arm wasn't difficult. Total time to remove and reinstall was less than two hours.

SUMMARY: So far so good and relatively easy install, BUT in my case I needed additional bolts to hold the regulator to the door.(I have a 99 Mitsubishi Galant)I ordered the Dorman 748-680 as a direct fit replacement for my dead OEM rear driver's side window regulator.1) I Googled "748-680 pdf" to get the installation instructions from dormanproducts.2) Removing the old regulator was easy with the PDF and took under 30 minutes3) I went to install the new regulator and realized that there was an issue: On the old OEM regulator there are 6 10mm retaining screws (2 at the top, 1 at the bottom, and 3 for the motor) and all the regulator holes are threaded. On the new Dorman regulator the motor is not a problem since it has 3 threads embedded in it and they include 3 matching nuts to secure that part to the door. HOWEVER, the 2 holes at the top and 1 at the bottom are not threaded so they would not accept the stock fasteners (the holes are too small...

Part was just as advertised. Received by the date promised. Fit perfectly and works as good or better that the OEM unit. Instructions provided are complete and easy to follow. Since installation requires drilling out the factory rivet (soft aluminum so its easy) I think the supplier should provide a replacement fastener. The entire job probably only took 30 minutes.

I do minor things... change my own oil, install air intakes or exhaust mufflers, but anything beyond that gets me nervous. But when I found that I could get this superior replacement part for well under a hundred bucks, and saw the VERY HELPFUL YouTube video on how to swap it out, I decided to go for it.I'm so glad I did. This was pretty simple. I did it in about 45 minutes, but I'm sure I could do it again in half that time. The only tricky thing is knowing how to detach the electrical connectors and to remove the little metal hairpin clip that holds the window into the original mechanism... thankfully the YouTube video showed me how to do that because this part did not come with installation instructions. The kit provides 3 new screws for the guide, but you have to remember to reuse the 3 screws that hold the motor in place.A couple of other tips... you have to remove the screw inside the arm rest in order to remove the panel, but you...

Exact fit replacement, no modifications needed. The cable that moves the window up and down had gotten bent somewhere in between the regulator and the plate that holds it in place in the old window regulator, so it would no longer unwind properly and would get jammed. Therefore the reason a new one was bought.FYI:- Same bolts will have to be used, DON'T DISCARD OLD BOLTS.- You will have to take off the old plastic pieces that hold the window in place and put them on the new piece.

This window regulator fit my wife's Honda civic LX 2007 like a glove. So far it's been working perfectly. After researching various window regulators, I found the Dorman 748-414 regulator very reasonably priced. When I received the item, it was packaged very well and I was able to take it directly to my repair company, who had no trouble installing this in my car. In fact, it only took them 30 minutes to completely install it! I would highly recommend the purchase of this item.

Once you get the door panel off this was a perfect fit and easy to remove the old and replace w/ the new. (2003 Mazda Tribute DX 4x4). Only gripe is that 3 nuts were missing to mount the motor (which made digging in my nuts/bolts box a pain, but I did locate 3 that would work). Once back in business it was installed and going up and down in just minutes. For someone having to run to the hardware store w/ the door apart, that's a pain. I was lucky. Include all the nuts and I give it a 5.

Form and function, perfect fit. Had it installed in a little under 45 minutes from start to finish. I think the motor could use a higher wattage version as the roll up is a little slower than OEM.

While driving to our vacation destination the car's window stopped working. I reviewed U-tube video's to get an idea of the repair. The product was delivered promptly and fit easily into place (if anything can do so in a busy door compartment). We managed not to break the window glass, plastic electrical connectors, etc. I don't think I even cut myself on the sheet metal this time! I've installed a good many of these over the years in various cars, and this unit seems as good as any and had a good price.

I was down to only 1 working window on my 2001 PT. Found a clip on Youtube that showed my how to install it. I'm a 53 year old woman who never really worked on cars before, but I can follow instructions. I found it interesting that the rear window regulators cost more that the front ones. I'd have thought that the demand for front ones would be higher thus driving their price up. Go figure.

The review saying Dorman motors are junk is very unfair. I own an auto repair facility and we have installed literally thousands of Dorman products over the years with very few problems. Is is possible to have any part fail but my experience with Dorman has been very good and I recommend them highly to my customers and use their parts on my personal vehicles. The problem described above is most likely either an installation problem (but the reviewer does not know enough about how to properly install to even be aware of their mistakes) or could be caused by a wiring issue with the vehicle or the switch that could have caused the previous motor to fail or not receive power and it is reoccurring with the new Dorman motor, but again, due to lack of diagnostic knowledge and installation procedure the reviewer blames the motor.

Rear passenger window motor assembly broke on my brothers 2004 Acura MDX. We pulled the door panel and took a look inside and found the cable and spring assembly were beyond repair. Ordered through AutoPartsWAY late on a wednesday night and with Prime it was at my doorstep by 11am Friday. (Outstanding!!)The following day we went ahead and replaced it. It came with NO hardware, but that is OK because you can reuse your old hardware. Its a total of 7, or so, bolts. Install was a breeze. The hardest part was trying to remove all the duct tape residue left on the window from my bothers temporary repair! Cannot beat this price. Local auto parts stores wanted $150+ with a core charge.

The only other review is a very bad one. This part is as good as any part on any car. Cars are cars, parts are parts. By one from the dealer if you want to pay four hundred plus installed. By this one if you want to save money and do it yourself.

This one works the same as the original! 2004 pontiac grand prix. Take cap of door handle pull, there's 2-#10 bolts you'll need long thin deep-well socket. Then pop door panel off(be careful with door lock knob), disconnect wire harness. I pushed my window all the way up into grove so it'd stay up, then loosened 2 clamp bolts at bottom of window connected to regulator slide(then you may want to move window back down so it doesn't fall), then If I remember right you'll need to loosen 2 bolts on regulator and remove another that holds the whole regulator to door and the regulator/motor will slide out through hole in the door. Slide the new one in and tighten all bolts on regulator and you should be able to tell on window where old clamps were to tighten up new ones in same place. Connect harness (make sure new one works first), pop door panel back on and tighten 2 #10's and should be good. This is a pretty easy job and I've had no problems with motor/ regulator.
