I like it. Saved me a load of money to buy it here (~$45 instead of ~$95). and install it myself. I'm no mechanic, but I know how to use a wrench. I was apprehensive about just "taking stuff apart" but a search of internet forums landed me on a very helpful youtube video showing how to get to, and replace these parts. This Dorman 917-606 OUTPUT speed sensor works great in conjunction with the Dorman 917-607 Input speed sensor on my 2001 Hyundai Elantra.Youtube video mentioned above: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCCQobQmp78 or if the link is broken: "How to Replace The Input and Output Speed Sensors On a Hyundai Elantra" by "RatchetsAnd Wrenches"

Made my 2003 Cavalier LS Sport shift like new again. My check engine light wasn't coming on but I thought my transmission was going out so before I brought it in to the transmission shop and was told I needed a rebuild as they tend to do, I replaced the throttle position sensor. That helped a little but when I had this VSS replaced, my car shifts so much better it's almost unreal. Let's hope it stays that way for awhile.

First of all, I want to say that for the Hyundai Elantra that I bought this for, this is the OUTPUT speed sensor, NOT the input speed sensor. Please be sure to double check the model number applicable to your vehicle by looking it up on Dorman's website.Having said that, replacing the old sensor with this new one cleared up several problems the owner was having with the transmission and acceleration in general, and the trouble codes never came back after I replaced this either. it was about a fifteen minute install and they were ready to rock.

I bought this as a replacement for the sensor on my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L. I was having intermittent problems with losing power momentarily while cruising at highway speeds. Searches I did on the internet indicated that the transmission output speed sensor could be the problem. I replaced both the input and the output sensors. It has been 4 months since replacing and the problem has not come back.

Best value for your money. I was told that this would fix my problem by the local mechanic. I installed it in minutes, but didn't solve it. I am glad that i didn't go to my local parts store and spend a lot more money.

Resolve the problem, now change the first to second according with the spec for speed. It is a good product.

I have a 2002 Hyundai Sonata. The OBDII code said I needed to replace the input speed sensor due to transmission issues. I picked this part because of price, reviews and free shipping. The part is not the exact OEM part, but matched perfectly in size, shape, and connector fit. It took me 1.5 hours to install but it was easy. The main time was removing several other small engine parts to get clear access to the sensor location. I have had it in for 3 months with no issues. Prior to that my transmission would go into "safety mode" at least once a week. If you are minimally handy, you can save hundreds of $ by doing this yourself.

This product was shipped quickly, the item fit perfectly on my Jeep Laredo and it also corrected the error code.

Our 2001 Hyundai was diagnosed and we were told it needed a transaxle rebuild or replace. Found a helpful site online that said otherwise and referred us to this input sensor, we ordered it from AutoPartsWAY and replaced it in less than an hour. Now the car is running great! The sensor is not cheap but definitely less than a rebuild, unfortunately the sensor is bound to go bad in a few years because they are allegedly designed that way? No matter, the sensor is doing its job and I am impressed that I could do the work myself instead of trusting a shop to diagnose my car with some hyped up, unnecessary repair. Search:[...]for more information if you have transaxle problems on your hyundai. Thank you AutoPartsWAY, for a great product!

Saw this sensor at many places for over $100! Got it on AutoPartsWAY for less than $50. I put it in a Mitsubishi Montero Sport and it worked great. no issues.
