  • A defective ground cable may lead to ignition coil failure on some applications that use this coil. Check ALL locations where the the negative battery cable attaches to either the drivetrain or the body. If in doubt, replace the negative battery cable and ALL attaching bolts before replacing any ignition coils. Refer to the appropriate Nissan or Infiniti Technical Service Bulletin for more information.

      Fortunately, my Pathfinder finally gave me a code for the bad cylinder. So I made sure of the production date of the car, so I could order the correct version (it makes a HUGE difference. Not in appearance, but in the way it work with the cars computer). I replaced the plug at the same time (the old one had 140k and REALLY needed replacing) and all works fine. It has been about 3 weeks.This is the second coil to go bad out of 6. 4 to go...

      These are great replacement coils for the 02-03 maxima 3.5 V6. They are the closest thing to an oem coils for around $65 and are MADE IN JAPAN!!!! Most coils for the Nissan 3.5 around $65 are made in Mexico or china.
