I'm thrilled to pay $14 for this ten cent part because it spares me the torture of going to the dealer (where it is probably even more costly). I've tolerated horrible experiences at several of the 20+ local (within an hour or so radius of Manhattan) BMW dealerships. Having this shipped to our door and spending literally one minute installing it certainly beats driving to the dealer, having to look at a service advisors phony smile and cheap gold watch, while their mechanics break all sorts of other stuff in an attempt to install a light bulb. Added bonus: we no longer need to visit Pepe's back alley inspection station where tips are graciously accepted since the vehicle will pass a legit annual safety inspection with the working lights.

This was exactly what I needed when one of my metal connectors inside my bulb socket broke. I was scared that it might short something out... or cause my bulb to not last as long... plus, the bulb wouldn't quite get contact enough with the broken one that I knew I had to get a new one. I am a woman, and it was easy to install... as long as you can figure out how in the H*** to get into the tail lights to replace them... once you figure out that you DO NOT REMOVE the light covers... you actually access these from inside the trunk area behind an access panel... it's pretty easy after that.

Replaced older burned out unit in less than 5 minutes. Good price, direct replacement, and works like a charm. Perfect.

Fits my Bimmer's tail light socket to the tee. Easy replaced original. A little pricey for a liitle piece of plastic and metal, but that beats going to the dealer to get it changed. Wonder why this piece failed in the first place?!
