2010 GMC Yukon Air Filter 8 Cyl 5.3L AFE Filters

Fit in to my 2012 BMW X6 (E71) very well. Quality is outstanding. Not sure what exactly the performance improvement it could bring to my car, but I am assuming it will do its job.

Is it better??? I have no idea!! I bought it based upon other reviews outside of AutoPartsWAY.

Not really sure it does anything for mpg or hp (I installed it the same time I did spark plugs, so one of them helped, or both helped a little), but it is very well made and it's nice to not have to use throw away filters.

Afe is a notch above the rest. Starting back in 2006 I was introduced to Afe products and have used nothing since. Ive noticed improved torque and mpg with their use in all my vehicles.

aFe 31-10185 does not fit the countryman SAll4 but AutoPartsWAY indicates that it does, please update.

Works great. I can hear my rig inhaling through this filter. Best of all, its dry!

Bought this for my girlfriend's Jeep Wrangler, definitely a better quality then Mopar's garbage stock filter. Also I like that this is a dry filter, no possibility of sheading oil onto the MAF.

If you buy this for your cummins look up taking the baffles out of the main tube before the turbo you get better throttle response and you buy this and it would end up being better than most after market air intakes. Due to the fact the stock box pulls more cool air.

I get better gas mileage.

What can be said about an air filter right? AFE says this filter adds a few HP to your bmw. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. It is very difficult to notice 3-5 extra HP. Unless you dyno your car with the old filter, then put this in and dyno right away, you won't know. What I do know is that at some point we all need to replace our filter and the cost of this isn't out of line with an OEM one and if you put this one next to the OEM filter, it weighs much less and is much thinner... I'm not a mechanic but less weight and thinner to me leads me to conclude this filter lets more air into the engine. more air is more power. Hence, the claim of added HP can be accurate. At any rate, it's been in the car all summer/fall now and still looks new and the engine runs great.

Okay, installed in my 2007 328i and well, it accelerates just like it did before I took all the stuff out to put it in! Honestly, on vehicles with carburetors, hi flow filters do make a difference, but on a computer-dominated car like this…not so much. Your choice. I have also purchased the air ducts so I will see if that helps but filter alone…nope.

Fit very well just like stock , throw away filters are $25 so I think it is a good value to be able to clean it.

If you have 2011 and up S model with little to no mods this is the best tweener filter over stock! REUSABLE is important to and not have to coat filter with oil. Nice power without losing the low end torque unlike aftermarket CAI.

I've had this for 5 months now. Main reason I bought it is cause it's re-useable & the dryflow you don't have to oil.I haven't seen any increase is MPG. Wasn't expecting any increase in power/torque from just a drop-in filter.Seems more like I've lost about 1-3 MPG instead.I was hoping for at least an increase in MPG, that would of been nice. Or at least the same I was getting before this filter. I do have another AFE filter, it's the oil version. I'm probably going to throw that in & see if that does any different.It is a direct replacement at least. Fits in the box with no real big trouble. This went into a 2012 Big Horn HEMI RAM... fit just like the factory original air filter... I like the fact that this filter is re-usable by just washing it or blowing it out... and NO "OILING" is needed... This is a DRY aFe air filter that fits Dodge "RAM" Trucks 2002 - 2013 V6/V8.I've used the ones you need to oil, they are a pain... and you gotta be careful not to OVER OIL... With the DRY technology aFe re-usable Air Filters... this is not an issue!

Superior material quality (compare to the current defective K&N unit), it fit more perfect. The engine runs more responsive. The good things is the AFe filer is thicker than the K&N, it's almost the same height compare to the oem paper filter. I like the fact is no re-oil needed after cleaning it. The K&N filer trigger the check engine light "on" 3 times since installed, the AFe filter didn't trigger it. I recommend use this for Prius owners.

This is a good filter and it fit perfectly on a 2008 528i lci BMW. Took 5 minutes to remove the old one and put the new one in.

This has been great for my Audi. There is a sound difference after installing it. You actually get the whooshhh air intake sound of a pod filter. I didn't expect that. Not sure if this has improved any MPG or HP, but it can never hurt to have your motor breath easier.

I put this filter on my 2008 GMC 2500 Duramax 6.6L. Ive read a lot of mixed reviews on what filter. Heard to stay away from K&N which i usually always use. I mainly wanted the new filter because my factory one was dirty. This seemed to fit perfectly and does the job great for 65 bucks.. No performance gains or difference in MPG but maybe a little more whistle.

I previously had a K&N drop filter installed in my VW Tiguan; however, I was concerned about long-term exposure to larger particles that the K&N filter allows through to the engine. So, I decided to purchase this AFE filter to protect my engine a little better and allow sufficient airflow. This filter gives noticeably more power on acceleration than the K&N drop-filter I had. I would HIGHLY recommend this filter over K&N any day.

Had this filter in a 2011 f250 SD and traded for a 2013 SD, loaned filter to a friend with 2011 SD, his truck pulling 29 ft box went from 10.5 to 13 MPG with no other changes. My 2013 increased from 17 mpg to 21 mpg on trips without the trailer, and almost 14 mpg pulling a 27 ft V nosed box.

It was the wrong size, but that was my fault. Smooth transaction and return policy that will bring me back if something else is required.

Best "drop in" filter for the MkVI Jetta TDI! Much better airflow than other top name brand filters at a much better price point... It works just as good as my actual cold air intake! What else can I say?!? I won't be putting the cold air intake back on, this filter does the job

I got 44 mpg in my jetta tdi instead of 42 mph so it is saving on diesel and money

Excellent product with perfect fit and function. The fact that the filter can be cleaned and reused is a big money saver!! So far, so good. I installed in my 2005 Ford Expedition when it arrived and it was a perfect fit within the filter housing. The use and maintenance instructions are clear and simple. The real plus is a mild soap and water cleaning will allegedly bring the filter back to perfect!! Since I change my air filters every six months or less, this will be a big money saver for me.

I have an AFE intake on my 01 BMW 330i and this was a replacement filter for it, I had the previous filter for about 3 years and notices a hole on the black silicone part so I ordered this one to replace it. At the time of purchase this was the cheapest I could find, it came with new bolts for the intake cover which is nice since those bolts are easily lost, over all this was a great product at a great price.

Really it's hard to rate this kind of product .... I wanted a bit better airflow and started looking at the main filter which is K&N ... found that those are an oiled filter and the oil could cause issue in vehicles and most are not aware of it. I put this my 2011 GMC Sierra 4x4 and I think it is helping. Haven't seen any gains really in any aspect or MPG ... but to get the most out of in intake you need to thing about running a Modular Intake Tube and a Tuner if possible.But I am glad I decided to go with a dry filter over an oiled filter or the K&N brand that most people just buy since they know the name brand and don't look into much more then that!The MIT is coming next with a tuner next year so I will be getting the max airflow out of my intake once that all is completed ... but the Filter is the first start and this should be a great filter that will last me MANY years to come.Nice knowing I don't have to purchase and air filter again for the next decade or...

This was a replacement for an existing AFE filter that was on my truck when I bought it. Original had been improperly cleaned and was missing filter material in the folds.

Replaced stock air filter in my 2012 Malibu 2.4L ecotec. Slightly noticeable throttle response over stock maybe 1-2mpg increase. I have been a k&n guy for years going to change out all my filters in my cars with this one...highly recommend.Joe. Philly, PA.

I used this filter to replace my k&n filter on my Tacoma. I like this filter because I don't have to oil my filter anymore. Just blow it off with an air compressor or wash it off and its good as new.

This filter is alot better than the K&N filter I was using. Afe is one of the few manufacture of a filter with a 6" inlet. I no longer have to buy cleaning kits and getting my MAF airflow sensor dirty.

It is pricey for a filter, but then when you factor in that it is endlessly reusable, it's a great value.I have one of these on my '96 Audi A6, and am going to put one on my '94 Audi S4.This is not a wet or oiled filter, this is a dry filter. This is excellent news because it does not foul MAF sensors.This is a higher flow filter than a stock paper filter. I can't say anything about performance, because it would be a subjective guess. I regularly get Oil Analyses performed on my used oil, and have never seen any indication that less debris is being trapped. Even if this doesn't add any performance, it's worth the price for its durability, and re-usability.I vacuum out the filter once in a while for a quick clean. I installed this on my 2008 BMW 328i and immediately felt the increase in power; especially when stepping firmly on the pedal. I have also noticed an increase in gas milage but it's not significant. The old rule of "more air more power" does work with this filter.

i bought this for my dads birthday . for his 03 chevrolet express base model v6the van already has a geat intake . people who own one know what i mean .plus i don't think anyone makes a cai for an express. but no need.this drop in makes the stock air box equal to any cai .the throttle feels more responsive and mpg's seem a little better .fyi it had a new paper filter in before the swap .clean and bag your old filter (if not to dirty) for when you clean the afe prodry.it takes a long time to dry (air dry .dont blow with high psi ) a hair dryer is probably ok on low heat .but anyway i highly recommend this love it .

Bought this for my Father's 98 Mercedes 300 Series Turbo-Diesel.Fit and finish were excellent. I first bought one of these for my 88 silverado with a built gm357. this filter flowed so much better than a stock one and i love the fact that its not oiled. cleaning is awesome. ended up buying one for the 6.5 diesel and fourtrax 4wheeler.

I love the fact that this filter fits so much better than the stock paper filter. Not even a K&N fits as well as this, and even the quality of the K&N doesn't match this filter. You can tell as soon as you open the package that this filter is the last one you'll ever have to buy. I have felt a small increase in low end torque, and also did some readings for air flow and saw a 33% increase in Air Flow through the MAF with VAGCOM from Rosstech. The price can't be beaten for a product as well as this, knowing what I know now about this product I would have easily paid double. I have now installed them on all three of my Audi's as well as the wives Volvo. (I have no affiliations with AFE or Rosstech, just trying to put some solid first hand evidence in the review)Any future vehicles I purchase in the future, this will be the first thing I put into it.

Have had the aFe 31-10158 air filter installed for about a month. Haven't noticed any difference in power on a V6 engine, but also haven't noticed a reduction either. I blame the airbox restrictions more than what type of filter is being used.

Perfect fitment in my Audi A4 s-line and needs no messy oil. No need to throw it away. It's reusable need I say more.

I've used cold air intakes for all my trucks and I really like the AFE cone filters because of the added element surface on the top/end of the cone which you don't see on the competitors models. This added surface just means that you'll have more airflow for longer between cleanings before the element gets too dirty to allow air passage without too much resistance. It's not effective for extending time between cleaning but better performance throughout the intervals.Would definitely buy again if needed, the one I purchased from AutoPartsWAY was used-like new but when cleaned and oiled you could never tell and it was almost half the price of a new one off of a parts website or auction site for new. Ideally I'd have two, one for the vehicle and one for stock cleaned and oiled thus negating have to wait for the one filter you have to clean/dry/oil/sit before re-installation.

This was a direct replacement, with a quick 4-clip removal of the stock paper filter. I have had this in the Jeep for about two weeks, and the onboard computer already indicates an increase in mpg. I like the fact that I won't have to buy a new filter next time, and I can just wash this one and re-use. I would definitely buy this filter again.

Immediately I saw a difference in my car. It picks up a lot faster. I hear that nice throttle a lot better. Mileage has improved too. Definite worth the money!Update: Going on 8,000 miles since I installed the filter. I just removed it to clean it thinking it might be a little dirty by now. Not at all. Not even dusty. It looks as new as it did when I bought it. I was totally shocked. This was well worth the investment.Update Fall 2014: Sold my car (with the filter). I couldn't use it in my new car unfortunately. I never needed to clean or even dust this filter off.

This is the second aFe Pro Dry Power Air Filter I have purchased. They seem to be well made and fit into the stock housing nicely. I have cleaned my original one twice now and it still works well. I decided to purchase a second one so that I can thoroughly clean one while using the other. I also intend to use one for normal daily driving and one for off-road use. As for improved gas mileage, I haven't really noticed an increase nor a decrease either way.

This filter is the way to go, no more messing around cleaning and oiling. Item was shipped fast and well packaged.

This filter worked OK for the application I am using it for, but I found it to be quite heavy for a filter and I have had several from different manufacturers. I also wish the neck was made a little longer as it would have helped tremendously with the install.

I installed this in my 2009 Chev.2500HD 6.0L gas truck. Straight up 1 mpg improvement. Not bad for something you have to replace anyway, and you don't have to mess with oiling the filter either. I did notice a slight improvement in acceleration, but very little.

Works great on my 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX. I just washed it for the first time and all the dirt came right out and looks brand new. A great investment for someone looking for an air filter to last them a lifetime. Plus, it's a 'dry' filter, so you don't have to continue to apply oil to it. I would definitely buy another one if I had another car to put it in.

Love having a cleanable filter without the problems of oil. I would never put another oiled filter in my truck. Can hear the difference and feel the increase in acceleration and throttle response over the stock filter. Will have to wait to see how good it is at filtration.
