  • This Performance Air Intake System allows your engine to breathe more air compared to the restrictive factory air intake housing. It is designed, tuned and dyno-tested to produce more horsepower and torque. Air enters the system from the factory fresh air inlets. through replacement air duct and into a roto-molded, aerodynamic AEM air box containing an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration and performance.The cone shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed (depending on driving conditions). This Air Intake System is backed by AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty. Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal.     • AEM Air Intakes are engineered to add horsepower and reduce restriction compared to OEM air intakes. All AEM Air Intakes come with a lifetime DRYFLOW Synthetic air filter with great filtration. AEM Air Intake Systems including our Cold Air Intake, Short Ram Air Intake, and Brute Force Air Intake Systems are guaranteed for the life of your car or truck. A cold air intake system relocates the filter outside of the engine compartment to deliver cool air inlet temperatures. Cooler air carries more oxygen, which translates into a more intense explosion in the combustion chamber to create more horsepower and torque. But that's only part of the power equation. Tuning the inlet pipe in length and diameter to match the engine's resonance helps move more air to the cylinders (think of your engine as a big air pump), and this tuning allows us to deliver large power gains. We also monitor fuel trim correction factors and all OBDII sensors during product development to eliminate leaning the engine out and/or throwing a check engine light.
