I ended up returning it; it is NOT needed for a 1996 Toyota T-100 Pickup if the vehicle is originally equipped with ADD (Automatic Disconnecting Differential) that has the vacuum activated diaphragm on the middle of the front axle. Also, if you are doing a manual hub conversion on an ADD T-100, you will need to remove that vacuum diaphragm on the middle of the front axle and use a large radiator hose clamp to clamp around the axle to lock the metal sleeve that the diaphragm slides back and forth-over to the passenger side, so it stays locked and the center of the axle will be locked in and work properly when you lock the manual hubs that you install.

I replaced the Auto-Locking front wheel hubs for my 1987 Toyota 4Runner, with manual locking hubs and this kit was nercessary.
