      Third Brake Lamp Assembly (LED) works great. I watched a YouTube video, and removed the old one with no problem. The two push-in clips on the right and left side of the bake Assy are the same as the center clip. The center clip that holds down the 3RD brake light is not able to be removed and reused due to the car design, and it was too difficult to reattach the new light, so I just snapped it off, and replaced it. I went to 3 auto parts stores before I found one that fit. The local Pep Boys had two clips that fit (a few dollars, and it came in a pack of 3, so I have a few extra in case I aver need another) The new blower assy is nice and quiet. Hooray!

      It's too bad Dorman won't sell you a bracket and seal, otherwise I would have given them five stars! You loose the "Original" Mopar lens when you use this assembly. Fits perfect, but if you could just buy what I described you wouldn't lose your original lens. Just sayin' (I'm sure Dorman probably made the originals to start with)

      This third brake light works perfect. The six LED lights are super bright. Fit in place of my old one with no problems at all. Great product.

      Received next day with 2-day shipping :).I tried the drilling method instead of removing the seats to get access to the LED and failed. However, I was able to remove the insulation around the light with considerable patience, removed the passenger-side screw! It now works like a champ!

      Like others have said, the plastic outer red cover on my stock one mysteriously disappeared one day after 11 years of motoring. I was eager to try an alternate, since the OEM appears to have a defect.Fit and brightness are all equal to the OEM part. Can't beat the price. The true test is longevity. If anything goes wrong with it, I will update.

      This unit perfectly replaces the OEM unit for less than half the price. The light replacement itself is simple, remove two screws, unplug old, plug in new, replace screws. The BIG problem is getting the spoiler off the car. There are screws and plastic snap-in connectors. Extreme care must be taken not to damage the plastic pieces - they can not be purchased, even at the dealer - they only come with the spoiler assembly.

      Have a 2006 Commander and needed a replacement third brake light. This was a simple, direct fit replacement job. Simply unscrew light, unclip wire from old light, clip replacement light to wire, screw replacement light onto vehicle. It does use a 6 point star screw, so it took me longer to find the right sized tool in my toolbox than it did to replace the light.I've had this light a few months and it works perfectly.

      this brake light is literally plug and play. perfect fit and incredibly easy to install. 2 torx screws and the wiring plug. far less expensive than dealer price + no labor costs. it took less than 2 minutes to install, not including the time it took me to grab my drill...heck, it probably took more time to find the correct bit than it did to install this light. do it.

      Product was a perfect replacement for the third break light for the Infiniti G35 2003.Plugged it in and everything worked.Used the drilling method instead of removing the seats to get access to the LED. Saved me a couple man hours.

      Perfect replacement for the crappy OEM version that seems to be plagued with a faulty lens cover.Replacement literally took 5-10 minutes to swap out the broken one to the new one. Fit was spot on, looks just like the OEM version, maybe even better.

      This item was an exact replacement for my '99 Suburban OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) part with one exception. The total LED count was lower than the OEM item--apparently a slight production change. I compared the old with the new and both were of equal brightness but the older high-count LED one seemed to glow a little more prominently. So I decided to disassemble the old unit and place the new housing and seals on to it since the issue was simply that the old red plastic lens was very hazy from sun/UV exposure. Another benefit of this was I did not have to gain access to the harness connector through the interior of the car to change out the entire unit.Now I have the original higher LED count and a new lens. I've even noticed that people tend to slow behind me a little earlier and stay farther back with the new brake light glowing brightly. I've kept the LED innards of the new unit should the OEM one fail.

      After being pulled over and thankfully let off without a ticket the sticker shock for this replacement piece is something else, so thank you Mr. Arlington, VA cop.The piece seems a tiny - and I mean - a tiny bit too long but with a little thump it snapped in.At first it wouldn't fit at all but I marked the millimeter or two that seemed additional and used a small fine file on the opening. (If you want do these things for yourself then be prepared to make things work.)Any filing isn't noticeable especially on an 11 year old truck and I really didn't do much at all, maybe .5mm on each end of the opening and it snapped into place and works great.Be careful on the 1" plastic wire hook under on the inside of the glass gate as I managed to snap it whilst trying to get the wire under.Yes, I would recommend this item as an LED replacement. Give it a little time and you'll be very happy.Difficulty out of 10 -3/4...

      Product works great and is the only replacement part available outside of the dealership for 02-03 Trailblazer 3rd stop light. The only reason it was not rated 5 stars is that it is not a direct fit in the 3rd stop light opening for 02-03 Trailblazers. The opening in the plastic trim piece surrounding the light is not long enough to accommodate this light without some minor modification. However, it's not that difficult to shave down the opening on one end of the plastic trim piece to make the light fit using any sharp blade (do not try and force fit the light in the opening as it will break the plastic retaining clip that helps hold the light in place). My understanding is that the plastic trim piece was updated in the 04 and newer Trailblazer models so that this product is a direct fit for those models.

      This brake light is a better improvement from the original piece. The LED lights are much brighter, smaller, and much more defining which, gives it a better and bolder look to the back of the SUV. There is only one bad thing, I'm not sure if it is the molding piece where it comes through to be visible that kind of bends or shrinks with the environment elements, or if it is the length of the improved piece that might have been constructed a couple of millimeters longer, but extra careful must be used when installing it inside the molding if you don't want to snap, or put a crack on the molding trim itself (which is $350.00 by the way). During my challenge, I just carved the ends of the hole in the molding a hair wider to fit the new assembly. This is very easy and can be done with anything sharp, even with a pocket knife, just be careful not to get cut!!!I know that this design is an aftermarket and some alterations might have needed to get done, but for me, it's better to...

      I couldn't believe how much the dealer wanted for this item. Then I found it here, and couldn't believe the deal. It was easy to replace, and fit perfect. Wires are a little longer than original part, but helped during installation. Don't waste your money at the dealership!

      I bought this to replace the third brake light in my GMC Yukon Denali XL that had burned out. I figured it would be hard to replace, NOT A CHANCE it was so simple I did it in 15 minutes, and that included clean up and drinking a beer. snap off one trim piece and remove 2 screws, then unplug the old one and plug the new one in and boom you are done.Sure beats the $300 the dealer wanted to replace this light.

      First light was broken when it arrived but it was promptly replaced. The 3rd brake light on my 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe stopped working about 1 year ago but the only alternative at that time was a factory replacement that cost almost $400. Factory originals have since come down to the $200 price range but this replacement fits perfectly and cost less than $50. While you would expect some difference in quality between a $200 part and a $50 part, it looked the same to me. Replacement is quick and easy, remove two screws, disconnect wiring harness, remove the rubber sheath and reverse steps for installation.

      The Dorman LED lamp appears to be identical in size/form to the OEM lamp. It was successfully installed in just minutes on a 2005 Tahoe Z71. The lamp came with a wiring assembly that was not needed. The OEM wiring connector fit and latched into the Dorman lamp socket.I will try to remember to update this review after one year in service.Added 1/23/12: the Dorman LED lamp is contuining to work perfectly after 11+ months in service.
