      I used this Dynomax flex connector to replace the welded-in flex connector [which burned through after only a year] on my 1999 Pontiac Sunfire's AFTERMARKET catalytic converter pipe, Note: this Dynomax part came with a "Walker 41597" factory label. My original GM exhaust pipe was about 1/8" smaller than the aftermarket pipe, so this 4.9 CM I.D. component was the right inside diameter to fit over the aftermarket converter's pipe. The original GM flex connector had an interlocking flex liner that was incredibly corrosion resistant: it was still without internal corrosion 14 years after the car was built, but it had been damaged when, while driving, the exhaust system caught on something. The LAST flex coupling I installed didn't last very long, it corroded through. The Dynomax 41597 Hardware Connector installed easily, and my car sounds quiet again, but I expect to have to replace it again in under 2 years.

      Bought this to replace the flex on a 96' Saturn SL1. Welded one end and clamped the other. Perfect fit.

      cheap fix, has got inner & outer lining. I welded it due to limited available distance, but it might also be fitted using clamps.
