      Perfect fit for 2001 Volvo S40, these took care of the knocking noise I was getting when going over bumps. The original bushings had the lower sections missing, the new design has a small track that bolts on with the new bushings to keep the lower part from being able to slide out.The install is not something most people will be able to do. I was able to do it relatively easy, but have been in the trade for several years. It requires lowering the cross-member, and a lot of patience to work with it and take your time removing and lining up the new bushings and bolts. I was pleasantly surprised that the new track that came with these bushings actually fit into the grove well enough that it did not slide around when I was lining up the new bushings and bolts.
