This thing is amazing. The shop that did my last alignment must of had someone that had no clue what they were doing, because they had turned the arm around so much the boot was twisted up on itself 5 times. By the time I noticed the passenger side had completely ripped in half. I was able to fix the driver side before it ripped at all.Anyways. The clamps it comes with are nothing more then zip ties (They are inside the boot, I saw some reviews that said it didn't come with clamps, but mine were actually inside the boot). I didn't trust myself on the inner part, because it was so far under the car and very little room to pull it tight. So I bought 2 of the screw clamps for 66 cents each.I had to cut the inner part. I used the old inner part to see where I should cut. Be very careful as to not ruin any other part of the boot when doing this. I didn't cut on the seam, I actually left a mm or 2 of rubber before the seam. Was nervous that if seam was cut...

Real easy to install works better then the hard oem boots it had used zip ties to hold on so me special tools needed

I purchased this boot kit for my 2001 PT Cruiser, knowing that a factory replacement boot was 'not available'.The boot fit perfectly, with a bit of trimming to the large end (which the instructions advise against, by the way - if you can't trim it, then how it is "universal"?).The material appears to be very flexible and should last another 300k.The only downside I can advise would be the instructions - should be clearer when it comes to trimming the 'large end'.

First I received this item a day later than promised. I needed it for re-inspection, so I needed it asap. The only thing in the package was the boot itself. But on the back of the package it list contents: 1-rack & pinion boot, 1- clamp set, 1- installation clamp set. Per another review they said it did come with clamps. AutoPartsWAY sent me a replacement. Again it arrived a day late and again the only thing in it is the boot. This should not be called a boot "KIT"

Product was great and saved me from having to buy the entire steering rack.I had a mechanic friend put it on for me in about 30 minutes.
