  • There are two sizes for the unit. The bigger unit is the original, while the smaller, thinner unit is a gear reduction type but will do the job. Both are interchangeable The SR459x is a bigger units & is a good replacement for the SR59x & applic ations; A new generation of replacements parts for this unit will soon be a vailable from Bosch. This is a two Bolt set up and if a unit has three bolt s, then please contact product manager.

      Starter works awesome.

      Recently installed this Bosch starter motor in my 1986 VW Vanagon. After 4 starts the rebuilt starter stopped working. I returned it and was sent a replacement. This one works excellent.
